Presenter
Michelle Johnston has been a licensed funeral director and embalmer since 2013. A graduate of Dallas Institute of Funeral Service, she went on to study Restorative Art and postmortem reconstructive surgery at Fountain National Academy. In 2019, she founded East Texas Mortuary Service, offering embalming and advanced trauma restoration. In 2023, she launched the Johnston Embalming & Reconstructive Institute, a professional education center approved by APFSP and the State Anatomical Board. Michelle also serves in multiple roles within the Texas Funeral Directors Association and is passionate about shifting the industry toward open-casket possibilities through expert restorative care.
