What is the InSight Celebrant Training Seminar hosted by NFDA?

Host: National Funeral Directors Association

Given the current COVID-19 pandemic, as a Certified Celebrant Training attendee I agree to abide by any and all hygiene, health and safety measures NFDA puts in place to protect attendees and staff during the Training including, but not limited to, temperature checks, wearing of facemasks, regular hand sanitation and social distancing rules. You may not attend Certified Celebrant Training events if you have at the time of the event, or anytime within 14 days before the event, any of the following symptoms: a cough, fever, shortness of breath, difficulty breathing, flu-like symptoms, gastrointestinal upset or experienced a loss of taste or smell.

Monday, June 22: 12:30 -1 p.m. Registration/Check in

1:00 – 6:00 p.m.

Tuesday, June 23: 8 a.m. – 5 p.m.

Wednesday, June 24: 8 a.m. – 12 p.m.

Seminar Presenters

Glenda Stansbury MA, CFSP, Marketing & Development Director of InSight Books, Co-Founder and Dean of InSight Institute Certified Celebrant Program. Glenda has worked as Marketing and Development Director for In-Sight Books for 17 years and has been Dean of the In-Sight Institute for 18 years, training over 3500 Celebrants around North America with Doug Manning and is a practicing Funeral Celebrant. She is a licensed Funeral Director and Embalmer, a Certified Funeral Service Professional and a professor in the UCO Mortuary Science Department.

Kathy Burns, Vice President and Graphic Designer for InSight Books and Mortuary School Program Supervisor for Insight Institute. She was a special education teacher for a number of years before joining InSight. She is an author, artist, and a Celebrant trainer for InSight Institute.


CE will be issued by InSight.

The Academy of Professional Funeral Service Practice: 17 attendance hours

Registration fee includes InSight materials, collaborative presentation, meals and snacks, CE processing and certificate of completion.

What to Bring
We will provide a notebook and required materials. If you have a laptop computer, it is recommended (but not required) that you bring it for the funeral presentation work. We will have a printer available.
